Behind the scenes of our pop up at BHV Marais

Kidiwi has decided to take you behind the scenes of a popup ! We were lucky enough to take part in the 11th KIDSETC popup organized by Clémentine Marchal in the legendary BHV stores in Paris.


It was an opportunity for us to meet you, talk to you and finally get to know you, the people we only knew through social networks or e-mail exchanges.


The whole team was delighted when the event was announced, and this is how it happened…

SAVE THE DATE

Lanto, the brand's designer, and Melina, in charge of communication, had been planning to meet you for a long time. But the reality of the rhythm of collections and professional and school events had not yet allowed us to launch this project.


It was on July 21, when Clementine announced the "SAVE THE DATE" on the Kids etc Festival account, that we got started. One comment " Kidiwi has just launched its application, we hope it's not too late. We look forward to this beautiful event every year."


And 24 hours later, our application was accepted (huraaaaaay !).

PROJECT LAUNCH

 

It's July 24, and the project is launched. Lanto has just left for a well-deserved vacation (we also try to take breaks sometimes), but she stays connected to prepare our stand and select the pieces you'll be able to discover from September 22 to 27, 2023.


Melina is in charge of merchandising trials, draws up the list of decorations and prepares the materials needed for the event.


On the collection side, Melina works with Clemence, our product manager, to select clothes currently being produced in our workshops.

PROGRESS

We're already at the end of July and messages like "Let's do this! Have you thought about it? Look, how can we do that?" are multiplying quickly !

Time is running out, as Clemence and Melina’s vacations are approaching, with a return scheduled for early September.

HOLIDAYS ARE COMING

It's August 16, and Lanto has just returned to his office for a final briefing on current and future projects. The vacations are finally here and we're hoping for all orders to arrive on time.

WE ARE BACK

On September 4, the whole Kidiwi team is back. We do a quick vacation debrief before getting back into our September routine and preparing for the upcoming popup.

THE PROJECT APPROACHES

The popup's announcements are multiplying, with beautiful workshops planned in the observatory, newsletters sent out, the launch of a giveaway by all the designers... And of course, the endless discussions in Instagram groups (that's the game when you're working with 30 other brands at the same time!).


What a pleasure to discover new universes, exchange ideas with people from all over France and share the happiness and enthusiasm of more than 30 designers at the same time !

THE RYTHM QUICKENS

September 18 is here, and we're doing a final check on the set-up for the stand. We have to leave the idea of an arch over the stand, as the tabletop is too wide. But don't worry, Lanto has many solutions to solve this problem.


We try again.... And we're changing again!

D-1

A little pressure, our selection of products is too large.


The whole team is mobilized. We organize our space as much as possible for you, to offer you a great customer experience and a great selection of products. Labeling, tidying up, goodies ... 6:30 p.m., the car is perfectly loaded, everything's ready!

 

IT'S THE DAY

On Friday September 22, we had to wake up at 4am. The day has finally arrived! After months of preparation, we're finally going to meet you!


It's 6 a.m. and the team is gathered in front of the legendary BHV. We're so excited! We arrived through the staff entrance, where we picked up our badges!


We took our first step into the department store and our reaction was "ouaaaaaah". Wide-eyed like children, it’s both impressive and moving to be there. The light is soft, there's no noise, it's like being in a dream (or rather, Lanto's dream).


Our trip begins with a visit to the perfume department, where the elegant stalls of Guerlain and Givenchy captivate the eye. We continue our exploration on the second floor, traversing the world of feminine luxury, where iconic brands such as Chanel and Dior seduce us with their timeless elegance. We continue our walk up to the 5th floor, Here we are, full of enthusiasm and expectation!


We’ll start installation immediately! We discover the various exhibitors with whom we'll be sharing the next few days. There are : Mafali studio, la mésange perchée, mon petit Léon ou encore, les petits bobos.


We are seduced by the warm atmosphere and solidarity between exhibitors. A real team harmony reigns.


It's 10 a.m., the moment we've been waiting for: you've arrived and we're ready!

We would like to thank Clementine Marchal and the entire BHV team for this magnificent project in which we had the opportunity to participate.
